I punched Todd in his smarmy fucking mouth, and followed that with a fist to his stomach. The bastard scrambled out of the apartment before I could land another blow. Good for him, because if I had my way, he’d be on the ground, and I’d be stomping his ribs. The whole time, Gia watched aghast, taken aback from how I barged into her bedroom and found Todd groping her, desperately trying to get to round third base. I would do it all again, too. A stern look came over Gia’s face.

“Why did you hit him?”

“Nobody treats my sister that way!”

“What, I’m not allowed to have sex, or something?” She pulled her black shirt on and stared at me angrily.

“It’s not that. He called you, and I quote,” I crossed my arms for full effect, “his little cunt whore online.” I let that sink in a little. “He said that with a #hornysluts hashtag.”

“So?”

I narrowed my eyes at her. “Gia, really?”

She narrowed her eyes right back at me. She crossed her arms, too. “Maybe I am?”

“No,” I said. “I’ll not have it.”

“Why--am I not allowed to have a boyfriend? Or something?”

“Oh, come on,” I said. “It’s not like that.”
“Yes, it is. How many of my boyfriends have you beaten up?”

I averted my eyes. I sighed. “All of them.”

“See?”

I felt the exasperation build in me. “But they were all assholes. Brent was cheating on you. Todd liked to walk around telling everybody how he thought you were a big slut. Eddie did that, too. Mel was secretly filming you and posting it online.” I looked at Gia, directly in her bright blue eyes. “They all were assholes, and I would kick all their asses again. In a heartbeat.” I paused for a moment. “If you date another douchebag, I’ll kick his fucking ass, too. Why can’t you go out with a good guy, for a change?”

“Like you?” She inched closer.

“That’s not what I meant.”

“No, I meant you.” She crept so close to me, I could smell the subtle musk of her perfume.

“Gia!”

Her soft, slender fingers caressed the back of my neck. Then, she tugged my face to hers and kissed me, deeply. A hot wave swept over my skin, and I felt really uncomfortable – especially when her lips parted mine, and her tongue flitted around my mouth. It was wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong ...
